Who do I report to? Activities Manager

What’s the purpose of the job?

Leading the safe, enthusiastic, and healthy delivery of our DL Clubs children’s activity programme and providing our members with an excellent experience every day.

What will I be doing?

  1. Leading member-focused service and engagement at all times.
  2. Leading my team to deliver children’s activities with structure and enthusiasm, encouraging maximum participation.
  3. Delivering the children’s programme including: Core Club Programme, Holiday Active Programmes, and children’s parties.
  4. Ensuring all activities meet Product Briefs, Lesson Plans, and Brand Standards.
  5. Maintaining safety standards in line with the Children’s Safety Guide at all times.
  6. Providing a safe and healthy environment, prioritizing children’s needs according to the Guide.
  7. Maximizing member experience, participation, and value for money through quality sessions, communication, and equipment standards.
  8. Engaging with members to improve their experience and seeking feedback via surveys, comment cards, forums, etc.
  9. Resolving member queries or complaints promptly.
  10. Recruiting, inducting, training, managing, and reviewing team members to develop a high-performance team.
  11. Sharing knowledge and collaborating with team members.

How will I be measured?

  1. Delivery of excellent service and engagement with members.
  2. Compliance with Health and Safety and Children’s Safety standards.
  3. Responsiveness to incidents, issues, or complaints.
  4. Feedback from members, team members, and mystery shoppers.
  5. Performance against our 6 Values.
  6. Adherence to DL Clubs operational standards.
  7. Achievement of compliance, revenue, participation, and budget targets.
  8. Participation in club visits from management and support staff.

What qualifications, skills, and experience do I need?

  1. Qualification in teaching, childcare, or sports coaching (Essential).
  2. Experience in team management and leadership (Essential).
  3. Experience in financial planning and management.
  4. Inspirational leadership skills.
  5. Ability to lead and manage children confidently and energetically (Essential).
  6. Excellent customer service skills.
  7. Strong listening and collaboration skills.
  8. Team player mentality.
