Accounts Payable Supervisor

Join a prestigious, global aviation organisation at a truly exciting time as they launch a brand-new finance hub in Glasgow. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role from day one – helping shape the AP function and play a key part in the success of a high-performing team.

As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations across the AP team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all areas of invoice processing and supplier management. You’ll work closely with the wider finance function, providing mentorship and hands-on support while driving process improvements as the business continues to scale globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team of Accounts Payable Processors to deliver timely and accurate invoice processing
• Overseeing high-volume, complex invoice coding and supplier payments
• Managing escalated supplier queries and fostering strong internal and external relationships
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
• Supporting month-end close activities and reporting
• Contributing to the design and implementation of AP process improvements
• Acting as a key point of contact during the setup of this new finance function

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Previous experience in a supervisory or senior AP role
• Excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach to leadership
• Comfortable using finance systems and Excel; experience with large ERP systems a plus
• A hands-on, proactive mindset with a passion for building processes from the ground up
