Job summary

Qualifications

Pay Rate: £12.46PH 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.01PH 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday

Duration: 12 weeks temp to perm opportunity for the right person

Job Overview

As a Factory Quality Control (QC) Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You'll be the gatekeeper of our Quality Management System (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring that our manufacturing process is aligned with the company's policies and regulations. Your work will directly contribute to producing safe, legal, and first-rate products that meet agreed specifications, from goods receipt to finished product dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality System Implementation: Ensure daily implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS), policies, and procedures, ensuring that every product is manufactured safely, legally, and to agreed specifications.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the factory, ensuring all processes meet the highest quality standards and legal requirements.
  • In-Process Support: Carry out regular line clearances, in-process checks, and adjustments to keep production on track and in compliance with set standards.
  • Audits & Inspections: Conduct equipment calibrations, in-process audits, and specialized audits (GMP, Glass & Plastic) to ensure continuous adherence to quality protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) by contributing to ideas, audits, and feedback loops.
  • Training & Development: Assist with operational training for production staff to promote a culture of quality and compliance throughout the team.
  • Customer & Audit Support: Provide critical support during customer visits and external audits, ensuring all documentation and procedures are in place and up to standard.
  • Documentation Control: Maintain accurate process records, submit and control laboratory samples, and ensure all relevant quality documents are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Product Setup: Assist in the setup of new products and SKUs, ensuring smooth transitions and consistency in quality control.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Qualifications: A Level 2 HACCP qualification and Internal Audit experience are desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
