This exciting new position has created an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Facilities Supervisor to join our team.
You will be based at Westminster Memorial Hospital in Shaftesbury and will manage the day to day running of the cleaning team, supporting services on site and our outside units.
The position is for 21 hours weekdays - : the shift pattern will be shifts to suit the needs of the service, flexibility can be offered to the successful applicant.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Applicants will need a full UK driving Licence
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in hospital cleaning processes and have an awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention Control and COSHH.
You should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the expectations of a hospital cleaning service and ideally have experience in a similar Supervisor role.
Duties will be interesting andvaried to include,
A clear understanding of the hospital cleaning service and the standards required, regarding infection control.
Day to day Supervision of the domestic team
Carrying out cleaning audits, pre-planned maintenance to include floor scrubbing, radiators etc, rota planning, and other office-based work as requested via a computer system
Ward work supporting the team during periods of annual leave, vacancies and sickness with a "hands on approach"
Staff training and mentoring
Contact with Trust staff in regard to any domestic cleaning issue
