Job summary

Mitie Group plc. seeks a Facilities Assistant for DVSA at Garretts Green, Birmingham. Part-time role (25 hours/week) with early/late shift pattern to cover 07:00-12:00 and 14:00-19:00 on alternating weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering FM services in a large corporate office environment.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Man the front desk and manage visitor passes; ensure security protocols are followed.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and corporate policies (H&S, QA, Environment & Sustainability).
• Embed a zero-accidents Health & Safety culture within the contract.
• Liaise with client representatives and third-party suppliers to deliver integrated service.
• Act as Incident Controller, coordinate evacuations and fire drills; provide first aid on site.
