Facilities Manager - Static Site (West London)

Salary: £59,000 - £62,000 + Overtime + Pension + Private Healthcare + Life Assurance + 33 Days Holiday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join one of the UK's leading facilities management companies, overseeing a prestigious static site in West London. This is a hands‑on leadership role, responsible for managing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across the site. You'll lead a team of skilled engineers and supervisors, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance engineers and supervisors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Promote a positive and proactive workplace culture, focused on safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance in line with company policies.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals, ensuring all statutory and technical training is up to date.
Operations & Service Delivery
  • Oversee all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works to meet contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure all works are completed to the required standard.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure CAFM systems are accurately updated and jobs are closed out on time.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring strong communication and service delivery.
  • Attend regular client meetings, providing updates on performance, compliance, and improvement plans.
  • Build trusted relationships by ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and responsiveness.
Financial & Compliance Management
  • Manage site budgets effectively, ensuring cost control and value for money without compromising service quality.
  • Support capital projects, compliance testing, and lifecycle planning.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and energy efficiency savings.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Strong technical background in hard FM disciplines (mechanical, electrical, or building services).
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience managing FM operations on a static or critical site.
  • Excellent understanding of statutory compliance and maintenance processes.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets and using CAFM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
