Job summary

IWFM is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager in Greater Manchester on an initial temporary basis with the potential to go permanent. This client–side role focuses on Hard FM, compliance, audits, and contractor management across a varied portfolio.

Reporting to the Property Compliance Manager, you will review maintenance reports, coordinate audits, manage external contractors and site visits, and work closely with the FM Helpdesk to keep buildings safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or property compliance across a portfolio.
• Strong understanding of statutory property compliance and health & safety.
• Experience reviewing compliance reports and remedial actions.
• Ability to coordinate multi-site compliance and maintenance.
• Experience with audits and contractor management.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings are safe, compliant and well maintained.
• Coordinate and undertake property compliance audits.
• Review PPM and statutory reports including FRAs, LRAs and EICRs.
• Identify remedial works and chase completion within timescales.
• Monitor fire safety, electrical safety, legionella and building services.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance and contractors.
• Maintain asset condition and compliance information.
• Resolve maintenance issues with the FM Helpdesk and property team.
• Act as key contact for managers, occupiers and stakeholders.
• Support vacant properties inspections and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and value for money.
