Zusammenfassung

Sheffield City Council is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to join our Facilities Management team in Sheffield. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring service delivery and compliance across council buildings and community spaces.

You will oversee inspections, contractor liaison, health and safety monitoring and support for maintenance programmes while supervising facilities staff. This role supports a 7am–7pm seven-day service where required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in facilities management, property management, building maintenance or related field.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong staff management skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a facilities environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
• Proactive, organized and solutions focused.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.

Aufgaben

• Monitor condition, safety, security and cleanliness of council buildings and facilities.
• Support the management and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Conduct site inspections and identify issues.
• Ensure KPI reporting and building user liaison.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure standards.
• Assist in health and safety compliance monitoring.
• Respond to building-related enquiries and service requests.
• Support facilities budgets and procurement processes.
• Manage and develop facilities staff including assistants and cleaners.
• Maintain records and performance data.
• Collaborate with council services, customers and partners.
