Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Team Leader to join Sheffield City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role requires leading a team, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating staff to meet service needs within council facilities. Relevant electrical qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds/NVQ Apprentice trained in Plumbing Level 3 Diploma or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition BS7671 electrical regulations course.
• City & Guilds 2391 in inspection, testing and verification of electrical installations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team to deliver a cost-effective, customer-focused service for council facilities.
• Ensure health and safety guidance, regulations and policies are followed; provide inductions and tool-box talks.
• Act as a member of the Facilities Management Team and deputise for line managers as required.
• Monitor sickness and provide feedback on performance; coordinate staff to meet service needs.
