Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to manage day-to-day operations across council buildings, ensuring safety, compliance and high service standards.

You'll work with staff, contractors and customers, lead inspections, support maintenance and budgets, and help deliver a 7am-7pm seven-day service where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the condition, performance, safety and cleanliness of council buildings.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Conduct site inspections and identify issues.
• Ensure effective performance and KPI reporting.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure standards.
• Monitor health and safety compliance.
• Maintain records and performance data.
• Collaborate with council services and external partners.
