Manchester City Council is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities Management team within Workplace Delivery. The role involves ensuring clean, safe buildings and supporting logistical movements across sites.

You will direct Facilities Assistants, perform inspections, and work within shift patterns from 06:00 to 19:00. A full UK driving licence is required, and DBS checks apply.

Formación

• Must have a full manual driving licence.
• Flexible, customer-focused service delivery.
• ICT skills desirable but training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Direct Facilities Assistants (Level 1 & 2) to ensure cleaning tasks meet procedures and standards; monitor via site visits and audits.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of buildings and surroundings; liaise with customers and report issues.
• Drive council vehicle to visit sites; undertake minor repairs and some working at height with hand tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe working environments and compliance with health and safety rules.
• Carry out safety inspections and weekly safety checks (e.g., fire alarm tests).
• Deliver tasks to high-quality standards and provide a responsive service.
