A reputable engineering firm in Dundee is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide engineering support, maintain building services, and ensure efficient repair of systems. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in facilities maintenance, with proficiency in CMMS and supporting software. This full-time position involves ongoing project management and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Relevant facilities engineering experience in a regulated environment.
  • In-depth experience in facilities maintenance or automated equipment.
  • Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Maximo.

Job description
Overview

Job Title: Facilities Engineer
Location: Dundee
Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per week until end of June 2026
Other: Available to work on call, as needed

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • Maintain building services and complete maintenance work orders efficiently.
  • Lead investigations, system upgrades, and manage related documentation.
  • Oversee small projects and coordinate with contractors for repairs.
  • Perform frontline maintenance on plant and production equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, water purification, and critical production equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, professional development, and provide 24/7 callout cover as needed.
Qualifications
  • Modern Apprenticeship Level 4, HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification and/or relevant facilities engineering experience in a regulated environment.
  • In-depth experience in facilities maintenance or maintenance of automated equipment.
  • Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Maximo.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in process engineering and PLC controls is an advantage.
