Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a permanent Facilities Officer for our Office & Retail team in Hastings. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will ensure offices are well-managed, safe and comfortable, delivering excellent facilities services with strong customer focus.

The role requires some manual handling, a valid driving license, and access to a car for site visits across multiple offices. Training will be provided to support growth in facilities management.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities within an office environment.
• Strong admin skills and attention to detail.
• Valid Driving Licence and ability to travel across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate service requests including health and life safety systems.
• Manage access across a dispersed office portfolio.
• Ensure fire evacuation and first aider processes are carried out correctly.
• Order stationery and monitor stocks; organise timely replenishment of office perishables.
• Organise and maintain records of meetings with suppliers and contractors.
• Arrange proactive and reactive maintenance with third party suppliers and raise purchase orders.
• Update compliance logs and save admin in line with procedures.
