Job summary

Surrey Police in Hastings is seeking a Facilities Coordinator within the Estates and Facilities team to deliver a professional, efficient FM service that supports policing operations at Hastings Police Station and across the local estate.

You will be responsible for day-to-day facilities management, health and safety audits, contractor coordination, and monitoring SLAs/KPIs to ensure value for money and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and ability to pass Police driving assessment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a team and ability to take initiative.
• Experience with minor repairs or working in a facilities management environment.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety and building legislation (Fire, Legionella, COSHH, Asbestos, Lone working, working at height).
• Willingness to undertake FM training and certifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safety).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, efficient multi-disciplinary FM service to support policing operations.
• Conduct health and safety audits and monitor SLA/KPI performance.
• Manage contractors and respond to day-to-day queries.
• Support departmental projects including refurbishments, redevelopment and relocations.
• Coordinate local office moves across a range of sites.
• Collaborate with Estates & Facilities colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
