Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale marine, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of site safety standards (SHE, COSHH).
  • Must be willing to undergo BPSS to be considered.

Job description

A multi-year opportunity where your craftsmanship will directly support the build of cutting-edge naval platforms. This is more than just a job - it's hands-on, high-impact work in a fast-paced shipbuilding environment. You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team, shaping complex metal structures with precision and pride.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing and installing marine-grade ventilation, HVAC systems, and interior furnishings.
  • Install a variety of ventilation systems, including rectangular and spiral ducting.
  • Fabricate and assemble bespoke metal furniture such as triple bunks, wardrobes, and metal desks.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to complete detailed metalwork installations.
  • Work with a range of tools and materials to shape, cut, and fit metal components.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and finish in all tasks.
What you’ll bring:
  • Recognised Trade Papers / Modern Apprenticeship Certificate - essential.
  • Experience in large-scale marine, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of SHE, COSHH, and general site safety standards.
  • Confidence working in confined spaces or at height when required.
  • A strong eye for detail and a pride in the quality of your work.
  • All applicants will need to have lived in the UK for the past 3 years as a minimum and be willing to undergo a Baseline Personal Security Screening (BPSS) to be considered for the role.
