GM Performance Power Units in Luton invites an experienced Sensor Actuator Assurance Engineer to verify sensors and actuators for power unit control systems, with involvement in both lab and on-track operations.

You will develop test methods, maintain records, and work with Data Analysis and PLM teams to relate usage to reliability while supporting dyno schedules and trackside events. A strong motorsport background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with electronics in motorsport/high-performance environments.
• Experience managing mission-critical devices and maintaining records.
• Strong understanding of sensor and actuator physics and operation.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with MATLAB and statistics tools.

Responsabilités

• Develop test methods aligned with standards and PU use cases.
• Design protective storage and handling procedures for devices.
• Create non-destructive evaluation methods and document results.
• Correlate device usage with reliability and mileage limits with teams.
• Assist in sensor/actuator selection for PU applications.
• Execute assurance testing and produce fleet condition reports.
• Engage suppliers on performance issues and supply chain concerns.
