Job summary

GM Performance Power Units invites a Sensor Actuator Assurance Engineer to join our Formula 1 power unit program in Norwich. You will develop and maintain test methods to verify sensor/actuator performance, support lab and trackside verification, and collaborate with Electronics Systems Engineering and PLM to ensure durability and safety throughout their lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on testing, data analysis, and clear communication to drive reliability in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field.
• 3+ years in electronics in motorsport or high-performance env.
• Experience maintaining mission critical devices.
• Strong understanding of sensors/actuators physics.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods and procedures per standards to assess sensor/actuator reliability.
• Design protective storage and handling procedures to preserve device integrity.
• Create documented evaluation methods and maintain records.
• Correlate device usage with reliability with Data Analysis and PLM teams.
• Support sensor/actuator selection for PU applications with Electronics Systems Engineering.
• Execute assurance testing; document results and produce fleet reports.
• Engage suppliers on performance issues and supply chain concerns.
