Job summary

GM Performance Power Units seeks a Sensor Actuator Assurance Engineer to develop and maintain methods verifying sensors and actuators for PU control systems. You will support lab and track operations, ensuring devices meet performance and safety requirements throughout their lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years in electronics within motorsport/high-performance settings, with strong knowledge of sensors/actuators and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years' experience with electronics in motorsport/high-performance settings.
• Proven experience managing and maintaining mission-critical devices.
• Strong understanding of the physics and operating principles of sensors and actuators.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with MATLAB and statistical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods and procedures for sensor/actuator reliability.
• Design protective storage and installation procedures to preserve device integrity.
• Create evaluation methods to quantify accuracy and reliability with full records.
• Collaborate with Data Analysis and PLM teams to correlate usage with reliability.
• Draft reports and statistical analyses on fleet condition and trends.
• Engage suppliers on performance issues and supply chain concerns.
