Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Early Years, Reception & SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, academic year placement in Droylsden, Manchester. You will support pupils in EYFS and Reception and assist with SEN needs to help children access the curriculum.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, teamwork, and building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families; enhanced DBS is preferred; commitment to inclusive education is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within Early Years and Reception classrooms.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils needing extra help.
• Work with children with SEN to access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
