Job summary

M&S Opticians in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Advisor to deliver eye and hearing care services while promoting our offerings within the M&S store. You will optimise sales, maintain records, manage stock and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless experience.

With a strong retail background and excellent communication skills, you will guide patients in selecting eyewear, explain care and maintenance, and help achieve store targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commercial awareness and ability to maximise sales opportunities.
• Previous optical or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote optical and hearing services within the store to drive appointments.
• Maintain accurate customer records and manage stock levels.
• Provide outstanding customer service and handle enquiries professionally.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs and lifestyle.
• Perform basic adjustments and repairs.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Support the fitting and dispensing of contact lenses.
• Conduct preliminary pre-tests and measurements.
• Work towards achieving store sales targets.
• Support marketing initiatives and special events.
