Job summary

Boots Opticians is looking for a Retail Assistant to be the first and last point of contact for customers on the shop floor. You will build relationships by listening to needs and guiding them to suitable eyewear solutions, from greeting customers to supporting pre-screening activities for eye-tests.

The role offers the chance to develop through our Step Into Optics training programme, including workshops and on-the-job experience, with opportunities to progress in both clinical and retail

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and active listening.
• Willingness to learn and develop eyewear knowledge.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with eyewear selection.
• Support eye-care services and pre-screening activities.
• Provide aftercare support and repairs where applicable.
• Maintain store standards and accurate administration of dispensing prescriptions.
• Handle operational tasks and ensure smooth shop floor operation.
