Job summary

Metro is seeking an experienced Export Customer Service professional to manage export orders and shipments from enquiry to delivery. You will act as the main contact for customers and coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive problem-solving approach and IT fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, logistics, exports, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Confidence working with customers and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring export orders and shipments are managed efficiently and professionally.
• Coordinate export shipments and ensure customer requirements are met throughout the process.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Provide shipment updates and proactively communicate any delays or issues.
• Prepare and check export documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Support customers with quotations, bookings, and service queries.
• Monitor shipment milestones and ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
