Job summary

Metro, a leading UK independent logistics provider, is seeking an Exports Supervisor to lead a growing export operations team in Birmingham. You will manage a portfolio of customers, ensure shipments are processed efficiently, and act as the main escalation point for issues, while coaching the team to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of export operations professionals.
• Monitor workloads, resource allocation and team productivity.
• Drive a culture of exceptional customer service and proactive communication.
• Ensure customer bookings are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Act as the first escalation point for customer, supplier and operational issues.
• Coordinate export shipments, haulage and customs activities with internal teams and external partners.
• Support the implementation of new customer accounts and operating procedures.
• Ensure all customer complaints and service issues are managed and recorded appropriately.
