Protocol Education is seeking an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This role focuses on supporting children with SEN and helping them reach their full potential within a nurturing educational environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, work with teachers and external professionals, and help students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech-language needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and safeguarding understanding.
• Ability to adapt learning strategies to individual needs.
• Qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable).

The Role

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school setting.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• The ability to adapt learning strategies to meet individual needs.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable).
