Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Lewisham is seeking dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join inclusive mainstream primary schools. You will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage with learning and build confidence in a supportive classroom environment.

You’ll work across 1:1 and small group contexts, using tailored strategies and collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

Protocol Education is recruitingSEN Learning Support Assistantsto work in inclusive mainstream primary schools, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs. You'll play a key role in helping children build confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their individual goals in a supportive classroom environment.

We have a variety offull-time, part-time, long-term and daily supply opportunitiesavailable to suit your availability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping children access the curriculum through tailored learning strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building trusting relationships that promote confidence and independence
• Supporting pupils with personal, social and emotional development

You'll be supporting children with a range of needs, including:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Learning difficulties and developmental delays

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in schools or through care, childcare, youth work or similar settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
