Experienced EYFS Teacher – Part-Time to Full-Time Transition

Location: Stockport, UK
Start Date:Asap (Part-Time) → Full-Time from January 2026
Contract: Temp to Perm (12-Month Contract: January–December 2026)

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate EYFS practitioner to step into a transitional part-time role from September, before progressing to a full-time class teacher position from January 2026.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the Early Years team to deliver an inspiring and child-centred curriculum in line with EYFS Framework expectations. From September to December 2025, you’ll be introduced to the school and class in a supportive, phased manner, enabling a smooth and successful transition into your full-time teaching role in January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, play-based and structured learning across the EYFS curriculum
  • Support the personal, social, and emotional development of young learners
  • Carry out formative observations and contribute to learning journals
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel EYFS teacher to ensure consistency across the 2-form entry setting
  • Create a stimulating, safe and inclusive classroom environment that reflects best EYFS practices
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven EYFS classroom experience
  • A deep understanding of child development and the EYFS statutory framework
  • Confident with assessment and tracking of progress in the Early Years
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a nurturing and patient approach
  • A reflective practitioner who thrives as part of a collaborative, high-performing team
