We are currently recruiting for an Executive Support Officer on a full time, temporary basis from 7 December 2026 to 6 January 2028. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, providing a comprehensive, high-level, professional and confidential administration service to the Executive Director of Finance. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into how a large NHS organisation operates at executive level. The successful candidate will be open to embracing digital ways of working and have experience in using tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency, streamline administrative processes and support continuous service improvement. Provide comprehensive, high-level and confidential executive support to the Director, including the proactive management of complex diaries and inboxes, drafting and proofreading reports, papers and correspondence, and coordinating day-to-day priorities. The post holder will take responsibility for the full administration of meetings, including agenda planning, paper collation, meeting organisation, minute-taking, action tracking, monitoring progress against agreed deadlines, and ensuring actions and outcomes are followed through to completion. The role will also contribute to the development of more efficient and effective ways of working. In addition, the post holder will provide governance support by covering the administration and minute-taking of Committees and other corporate meetings as required, and will provide resilience and cross-cover arrangements for their designated buddy and wider Corporate Governance team to ensure continuity of service.
