Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Premise Cleaner for Halifax Ambulance Station on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). The role involves cleaning, decontamination, and maintaining infection prevention standards across station facilities, in line with Trust protocols.

Shifts are Monday to Friday between 0600 and 0930, with pattern to be agreed; flexibility for out-of-hours work and basic IT tasks are required, along with a current B class driving license valid in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous workplace premises cleaning experience within last two years.
• Ability to work individually or as a team.
• Flexibility to work out of hours to meet service requirements.
• Current 'B' Class driving Licence valid in the UK.
• Good literacy and numerical skills to complete worksheets and reports.
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety, COSHH, risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate stations and sites to meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain cleaning stocks and record daily activities.
• Follow Trust Cleaning Protocols and daily work schedules.
• Complete basic IT paperwork, emails and timesheets.

Job description

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Ancillary Services Team, are offering an opportunity for a Optional shift 16 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Halifax Ambulance Station. Monday -Friday between 0600 and 0930, (Specific working pattern to be agreed) Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service., Duties will include Station/Site Cleaning: To undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet the high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention andControl measures required across our stations and sites. To ensure that all activities are performed in line with the Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules. Achieving and maintaining all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Our cleaning schedules include entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurant's, gym's, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other associated areas. To ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials are maintained and to record all daily activities. This will include urgent spillage and ad-hock cleaning and deep cleaning as requested or where identified. Use of basic IT; access and inputting of information is essential. For example: Emails and time sheets.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a 1215-minute basic Physical Capability Assessment.

• Previous workplace premise cleaning experience within last two years., Ability to work individually or as a team.
• Willingness to undertake role specific training including NVQ 2 Cleaning & Support Services or agreed equivalent.
• Flexibility to work out of hours to meet service and development/training requirements, Current 'B' Class driving Licence which is valid in the UK., Good literacy and numerical skills in order to complete daily worksheets and reports.
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessments preferably associated to standard procedures and practices within the cleaning services sector, Basic IT Skills including use of keyboard, hand held data devices and telephones.
