Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust seeks an Operational Services Support Manager to coordinate and manage operational support across designated geographic areas, serving as a single point of contact between frontline operations and service support departments.
You will oversee day‑to‑day activities, contribute to forecasting and planning to sustain performance, line-manage the locality A&E administration team, and act as Tactical Commander during major incidents with regional responsibility.
This multifaceted role will co-ordinate and manage operational support across designated geographical areas. A key responsibility will be the efficient and effective delivery of operational services, acting as a single point of contact between front line operations and a range of service support departments. The role will entail the day to day management of activities, as well as future forecasting and planning, so contributing to ensure performance and service delivery are achieved and maintained. This role will have a direct impact on the Trust's capacity to respond to patient care. The Operational Services Support Manager will also be required to undertake the role of Tactical Commander across a wider geographic area. They will also have full line management responsibility for a team of A&E administration support staff, who in turn work to support business activity in the area. Collaboration and partnership working with colleagues from across the Trust will be paramount, along with building relationships across the designated area in order to maximise efficiency, cost improvements and overall performance. The need to prioritise workload will be paramount in order to achieve agreed objectives.
