Overview

This maternity cover position within the Premier League Media department will provide executive support to Director level roles in the Broadcasting and Digital Media departments, with secondary support to the EA to Chief Media Officer.

The role will support the Directors of three different disciplines: Broadcasting Sales and Servicing – the Premier League’s relationships with its broadcast partners around the world; Broadcasting Operations and Production – the Premier League’s delivery of broadcast operations on matchdays; and Digital Media and Audience Development – the Premier League’s digital products and technology, content, and platform offerings for fans around the world.

The ideal Executive Assistant will be able to work at pace, work both autonomously and as part of a team, will pay meticulous attention to detail and will have fantastic interpersonal skills. The role has a broad remit, therefore will require excellent prioritisation skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and an individual who extremely proactive, forward-thinking and communicative.

We have a wide variety of responsibilities. These include organising the competition and its Rule Book as well as managing the centralised broadcast and commercial rights. The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, we protect the organisation’s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

Our hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week. Where possible, you will attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

The role:

  • Extensive diary management for multiple Directors – organising meetings (internal/external) both at short notice and for future planning Inbox management for Directors
  • Arranging multi-stop international travel across different time zones, and subsequent visa applications
  • Keeping track of departmental workflows, meetings and deadlines, including input into Business-wide workstreams
  • Managing departmental Board and Shareholder paper collation/submissions
  • Building strong company-wide relationships including with Premier League Productions (PLP) and being a general point person for the department
  • Planning all logistics for Sportel Monaco conference, including travel and dining arrangements for attendees as well as liaising with Sportel and various suppliers on room set up requirements, catering and courier arrangements. Additionally attending the conference as a point of contact and ensuring the planning runs smoothly.
  • Assisting with the annual ‘Broadcaster Workshop’ – liaising with suppliers, venue(s) and key contacts of all international broadcast partners
  • Coordinating various Club meetings, agency meetings and team offsites throughout the year
  • Inventory management – collating, logging and shipping signed and unsigned merchandise annually for broadcast partners in collaboration with the servicing team
  • Maintaining departmental databases and soft filing
  • Expenses management for Directors
  • Cover for the EA to Chief Media Officer when required

Requirements for the role:

  • Several years’ experience supporting senior Executives
  • Ability to manage multiple busy diaries simultaneously
  • Be proactive and reactive – ability to forward plan and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organisational and communication skillswith the ability to multi-task
  • Event management experience including on an international level
  • Experience in organising global travel, creating itineraries and schedules, and obtaining visas Meticulous attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable with the ability to develop great working relationshipsand quickly understand and adapt to different working styles
  • Ability to exercise sincere discretion and confidentiality
  • Quick to learn and pick up nuances of the business
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Confident and clear communicator
