A leading educational assessment body in the UK seeks an AS Level Physics Examiner to mark candidates' responses accurately while maintaining high standards. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Physics, teaching qualifications, and experience with AS/A Level education. The role allows for remote work during marking periods from May to July and emphasizes strong subject knowledge and deadline adherence.
AS Level Physics (New Specification) Examiner marks candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. The experience of examining will offer an insight into the assessment process and can often consequently enhance the quality of your teaching Most subjects will be marked onscreen using ePEN, which can be done from home. A few subjects are still marked in the traditional method, using paper scripts sent through the post. A good level of subject knowledge at AS/ A Level is necessary to apply the mark scheme effectively. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts.
