Job summary

Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Meetings & Events Operations Supervisor to lead event shifts from setup through to breakdown, delivering exceptional guest experiences at our busy city-centre hotel.

You will coordinate room layouts, AV, and catering, act as the point of contact for event organisers, and ensure a warm, professional welcome. Bar service, staff guidance, and cross-team communication are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in meetings & events or banqueting, ideally at supervisor or team leader level.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Confident communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead event shifts from setup to delivery and breakdown.
• Ensure rooms are set up to specification including layouts, AV and catering.
• Act as a main contact for event organisers on the day and provide a warm, professional welcome.
• Handle issues quickly and effectively to maintain service standards.
• Set up and run the bar for events, maintain high drinks service standards and ensure responsible service.
• Support, motivate and guide the events team, and assist with training.
• Coordinate with events, kitchen, sales and F&B teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, wastage, and rota planning as needed.
• Support other areas of the F&B department when required.
