Job summary

Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is seeking a Food & Beverage Team Leader to oversee service across the restaurant and bar, leading shifts and upholding high guest experience standards.

You will support the events team, gain exposure to conferences and meetings, and mentor the F&B team while ensuring smooth operations. The role offers training and career progression within a busy 4-star hotel in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience in food & beverage with some leadership exposure.
• Desire to develop into a leadership role with training provided.
• Events experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

• Hands-on approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

We're a busy 4-star hotel in the heart of Manchester, just minutes from Piccadilly Station, and we're looking for an F&B Team Leader to support our management team and lead service across our restaurant and bar, with the chance to develop your skills in conference & events along the way.

What You'll Do

Leading Service:

• Lead shifts across our restaurant and bar, keeping service running smoothly
• Set the tone for a warm, professional welcome for every guest
• Step in to resolve service issues quickly and confidently
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience across all areas

Meetings & Events Development:

• Support our events team in delivering conferences, meetings, and private events
• Learn how events come together, from room layouts and AV to catering and service
• Build your confidence as a point of contact for organisers and delegates on the day
• Gain experience that supports your progression into events or wider F&B management

Supporting Your Team:

• Motivate and guide the F&B team during service
• Help train new starters and share your knowledge with the team
• Keep communication flowing between front-of-house, kitchen, and events teams
• Lead by example, setting the standard for service excellence

Learning the Operation:

• Get involved in stock control, ordering, and wastage management
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations
• Assist with rota planning and labour control where required
• Drive upselling across food and beverage

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in food & beverage, with some experience leading shifts, supervising, or acting as a senior team member
• The drive to grow into a leadership role, with full training and support provided
• Events experience is a bonus but not essential
