The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff is seeking an Event Planner to join our Conference & Events team. You will manage events from handover to delivery, acting as the main point of contact for clients and ensuring flawless execution with five-star service.

This full-time, permanent role offers opportunities to upsell hotel facilities, maintain detailed event documentation, and coordinate with hotel departments to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, events, hospitality or guest-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple events.
• Confidence using IT systems and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of events from handover to completion.
• Build relationships with clients and provide guidance during planning.
• Produce accurate event orders communicating client requirements across the hotel.
• Coordinate site visits, tastings, show rounds and pre-event meetings.
• Ensure event documentation, contracts, deposits and health & safety compliance.
• Liaise with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Meet and greet clients during events as main point of contact.
• Maximise revenue opportunities through upselling facilities and services.
• Post-event follow-up, gather feedback, and identify future opportunities.
• Collaborate with departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

From the momentan event is confirmed through to its successful delivery, you will be the keypoint of contact for clients, ensuring every detail is planned to perfectionand every experience exceeds expectations.
Whether it's a high-profile corporate conference, galadinner, awards ceremony or exclusive private event, you'll work closely withclients and hotel departments to bring their vision to life whilst deliveringthe five-star service for which The Parkgate Hotel is renowned.
