Job summary

Newport-based role leading the Events Bar team at The Celtic Collection, delivering five-star guest experiences during conferences, exhibitions, galas, and large-scale events. 37.5 hours/week, £12.82 per hour, permanent contract, with excellent benefits.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced hospitality, leads from the front, and motivates teams to consistently deliver superb service at high-profile events across Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a busy bar or events environment.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume operations with guest service as priority.
• Banqueting or large-scale event experience advantageous.
• Positive, hands-on leadership style with coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager and Supervisors in leading the Events Bar team.
• Lead by example and inspire colleagues to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Coordinate and deliver efficient service across multiple event bars.
• Motivate and coach team members during busy service periods.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly and professional service at all times.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and service throughout each event.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Conference & Events to ensure the smooth delivery of every occasion.
• Play a key role in creating memorable experiences for thousands of guests each year.

OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE–

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor withina busy bar, hospitality or events environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operationwhere guest service is always the priority
• Banqueting or large-scale event experience would beadvantageous
• A positive, hands-on leadership style
• The ability to motivate, coach and support colleagues toperform at their best
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible approach and willingness to support the wideroperation when required
• Good IT literacy
