Overview

We are looking for a talented Event Assistant to work for our client in Durham. They want to recruit someone with a background of previous experience in the field. If that's you then you could be exactly what they're looking for, even if you've got limited experience.

Role

As the Event Assistant you'll report to the Event Manager and will need to work well in a team, under pressure and in a new environment, in different venues in Durham.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative, organisational, and logistical support to an event planner or event coordinator.
  • Assist with creative decisions.
  • Help set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion.
Working hours

The standard working hours for this position are 7/8 hour shifts.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have relevant background of previous experience in the field and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Good literacy skills (verbal, written and spoken) are required.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Eager to contribute new ideas.
  • Recent graduates with a degree in a relevant or related discipline but with little or no experience are encouraged to apply.
