Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a skilled ESME Application Engineer to join our engineering team in Concord, NC. The role focuses on safely building high-performance battery systems with top quality.

Responsibilities include leading process design for ES/ESME, working with Quality to implement QA, and contributing to design for manufacture and automation initiatives. Strong CAD, robotics, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years in battery pack assembly engineering or equivalent.
• Experience programming industrial robots.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools (CATIA/NX/SolidWorks).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-driven with proven project leadership.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, motorsport, or high-performance industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of manufacturing processes for Energy Store (ES) and Energy Store Main Enclosure (ESME).
• Design and analyze production processes to ensure personnel safety at all times.
• Work with Quality to develop in-process and end-of-line QA procedures.
