Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking an ESME Application Engineer to join our engineering team in Warrington. You will help safely build high-performance battery systems and optimise the Energy Store and ESME manufacturing processes.

The role requires a engineering degree, 2+ years in battery pack assembly, and experience programming industrial robots. CAD proficiency and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in battery pack assembly engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience programming industrial robots and working with CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimizations of manufacturing processes for ES and ESME.
• Design and analyze production processes to ensure personnel safety.
• Develop in-process and end-of-line quality procedures with the QA team.
• Contribute to the design process to achieve Built-In Quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document learnings for improvements.
• Create and maintain manufacturing operation work instructions.
• Document assembly process developments and communicate them clearly.
• Collaborate with ERS Assembly Manager and HV Safety Supervisor on standards.
