Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Birmingham is recruiting an ER Advisor to join its People & Culture team. The role offers a salary of £37,296, plus car allowance, and hybrid working with up to three days per week at home.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in employee relations, HR advisory work or HR casework, handling complex and sensitive cases, investigations, hearings and reporting. You will support policy reviews and coach managers to improve people management.

Qualifications

• Proven employee-relations or HR advisory experience managing complex cases.
• Experience supporting investigations, hearings and reporting.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidance.
• Experience working with trade unions or employee representatives is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical advice on conduct, capability, performance and absence matters.
• Manage a varied employee-relations caseload from referral to resolution.
• Support investigations, hearings and appeals with evidence review and reporting.
• Advise on absence management, occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments.
• Promote early resolution of grievances and liaise with unions/representatives.
• Contribute to policy reviews and ensure advice reflects data protection requirements.
• Coach managers and contribute to training and toolkits.
• Report casework trends and support People & Culture projects.
