A local government council in Tunbridge Wells is seeking an Environmental Health Officer to improve private sector housing standards. You will investigate complaints, enforce housing regulations, and manage grants for property adaptations. The ideal candidate will have a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health and experience in housing regulation. This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Private Sector Housing team, contributing to improving standards and health outcomes for our residents. The successful applicants will investigate complaints, apply housing standards, take enforcement action and licence our HMOs. They will deliver grants and financial assistance to adapt and repair properties, and energy efficiency initiatives to achieve low carbon and warm homes. One post will lead on HMO licensing and the other will lead on Disabled Facilities Grants.
