A local government organization in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Housing Enforcement Officer to ensure that private sector housing meets minimum safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Environmental Health and experience in housing legislation. Key responsibilities include investigating housing complaints, conducting inspections, and enforcing compliance with housing laws. Training and support will be provided for professional development. Salary: £41,771 - £45,091 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

This post forms part of the Council’s Housing Enforcement Team.
Under the Housing Act2004, the Local Authority has a duty to ensure that private sector housing meets minimum standards.
This role plays a vital part in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community, ensuring they have access to safe and adequate housing.
Training and support will be provided to help you develop your expertise and confidence in the role.
