Recent achievements include top-tier ESG benchmarking results, advanced carbon accreditation, improved recycling rates, and meaningful investment in local communities.

You’ll be joining at a time where environmental compliance is front and centre, with real scope to influence strategy while staying close to everyday operations.

The Role

Reporting into a senior sustainability leader, you’ll be responsible for managing and evolving the environmental compliance framework, ensuring all regulatory, permitting, and planning obligations are met while preparing the organisation for future requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing the environmental compliance strategy with internal teams, tenants, and external regulators
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on current and emerging environmental regulation and planning conditions
  • Partnering closely with Legal, Projects, Estates and Technical Services to embed compliance across the business
  • Managing ISO14001 and ISO50001 management systems, including internal and third-party audits
  • Overseeing compliance linked to water, ground contamination, air quality, waste and emissions
  • Managing environmental permits, trade effluent consents and discharge compliance, including investigations and action plans
  • Supporting climate adaptation planning and operational responses to physical climate risks
  • Playing a key role in infrastructure upgrade projects, particularly drainage and utilities
  • Streamlining environmental reporting and feeding risks into the wider governance process
  • Supporting wider sustainability and responsible business initiatives as needed
