Job summary

United Infrastructure Power T&D Limited is seeking an Environmental Adviser for a major project in the Scottish Highlands. Based at the Alness site, you’ll support environmental controls and mitigations across the construction works, working with Ecology and Archaeology specialists and the project teams.

You will help implement the Construction Environmental Management Plan, monitor environmental performance, and provide practical guidance to ensure compliance with legal and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a relevant environmentally based discipline (degree or equivalent).
• Experience on construction projects (desirable).
• Ability to collate and interpret environmental performance data.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of environmental strategy and standards.
• Provide technical support for Construction Environmental Management Plan.
• Assist in understanding and communicating environmental obligations.
• Assist in developing environmental training for staff.
• Collaborate with assurance teams on environmental inspections and audits.
• Work with Ecology and Archaeology contractors on site.
• Advise on Peat, Water, and species protection management.
