Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an Environmental Advisor/Manager for a major Highland infrastructure project based in Alness. The role is hands-on, collaborating with construction teams to embed environmental standards and ensure legal compliance on site.

The successful candidate will contribute to ecological mitigation, permits and water management while supporting incident investigations and sustainability improvements across the project.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience across ecology, biodiversity, permitting, water management, contamination or waste.
• Understanding of SEPA regulations and ISO 14001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing environmental advice and support to project teams.
• Carrying out site inspections and environmental audits.
• Managing environmental risks and compliance.
• Supporting ecological mitigation and biodiversity.
• Managing environmental permits, consents and licences.
• Supporting water management and pollution prevention.
• Dealing with contaminated land and waste management.
• Supporting environmental incident investigations.
• Working with external ecology and environmental consultants.
• Helping develop environmental and sustainability improvement plans.
