Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd in Scotland is seeking a Senior HSE Adviser to lead health, safety and environmental performance on a major transmission project in the Scottish Highlands near Alness.

You will provide expert guidance to project teams, drive risk reduction, ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and client standards, and mentor junior staff.

The role is site-based, full-time, with a focus on incident investigations, environmental protection, and continuous improvement of HSE systems.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate required.
• Significant experience in construction, infra, utilities, or power projects.
• Experience in senior HSE advisory roles on major infrastructure projects.
• Full UK driving licence and strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive HSE culture across all project activities.
• Provide professional guidance on HSE matters to project leadership.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and behavioural safety observations.
• Monitor compliance with procedures and regulations; review RAMS.
• Coach and mentor HSE Advisers and project personnel.
• Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare HSE performance reports and support client audits.
