MDPI is seeking an Assistant Editor in Manchester to join our Editorial team. This entry-level, full-time position is based in our city centre office and involves training in editorial workflows from submission to publication.

You will engage with conferences, visiting scholars, and marketing events while supporting researchers worldwide to publish their work. No prior editorial experience is required; training is provided on the job for six months, with potential journal assignments aligned to

Qualifications

• This role requires a PhD (preferred) or Master's degree in a field related to Mathematics, Statistics, Information, Data or CS.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills and advanced MS Office knowledge.
• Team player with ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for academic journals in your domain.
• Organize peer review processes and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communication between parties involved in publication.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to ensure quality.
• Ensure scholarly articles are edited and published on tight deadlines with consistency.
