GitLab is seeking an Engineering Manager for Gitaly, our Git data storage tier. You will guide senior and staff engineers through complex, long-horizon work while fostering a culture of ownership and clarity.

You will balance roadmap delivery with GitLab product priorities, ensure scalable infra, and support engineers’ growth through mentoring and feedback. This remote role welcomes international collaboration.

• Manage engineering teams with clear accountability and growth paths.
• Guide highly specialized engineers through ambiguity and tradeoffs.
• Proven track record in Go or similar performance-sensitive environments.
