Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to oversee the scheduling, administration and control of maintenance activities across a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring planned and reactive works are delivered safely and on time.

You will manage work orders in CAFM/CMMS systems (Maximo, Concept, SAP), support regulatory compliance (GMP/GxP, LOLER, PUWER), and drive data integrity in line with ALCOA+ standards. This on-site role is based in Stockport.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a coordination, planning, or administrative role within hard services FM or engineering environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo, Concept, SAP) and understanding of engineering maintenance processes, permit-to-work systems, and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of all engineering activities, including PPM, statutory compliance tasks, and corrective/reactive works.
  • Manage the lifecycle of work orders from creation through to completion and close-out, ensuring accuracy in CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo, Concept, SAP).
  • Support compliance with UK statutory regulations (e.g. PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella), GMP/GxP, and ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
  • Coordinate permit-to-work processes, ensuring approvals are in place and high-risk activities are controlled.
  • Track and report on engineering KPIs (PPM compliance, reactive response times, backlog levels, data quality).

Role: Engineering Coordinator
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week
Location: Stockport, SK10 2NA

We're looking for an Engineering Coordinator who is responsible for the effective coordination, administration, and control of engineering maintenance activities across a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of all engineering activities, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance tasks, and corrective/reactive works.
  • Manage the lifecycle of work orders from creation through to completion and close-out, ensuring accuracy in CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo), including labour, materials, and asset updates.
  • Support compliance with UK statutory regulations (e.g. PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella), pharmaceutical regulatory standards (GMP / GxP), and ensure all documentation is completed, reviewed, approved, and stored in line with ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
  • Coordinate permit-to-work processes, ensuring approvals are in place, work is scheduled safely, and high-risk activities are properly controlled in line with site safety procedures.
  • Track and report on engineering KPIs (PPM compliance, reactive response times, backlog levels, data quality), while supporting stakeholder communication and continuous improvement initiatives across FM operations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in a coordination, planning, or administrative role within hard services FM or engineering environments, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo, Concept, SAP) and understanding of engineering maintenance processes (PPM, reactive, statutory compliance), permit-to-work systems, and safe systems of work.
