Job summary

Marex Group in London is seeking an Application Support Analyst within Energy Trading Operations. You will own day-to-day support for front office and post-trade applications, collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.

The role requires Windows/Linux, SQL/DB, strong Excel, ITIL experience and a background in financial services, preferably energy markets.

Qualifications

• Solid background in Windows and Linux/Unix with SQL/DB knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills including VBA and other Excel features.
• Experience in Financial Services, preferably Energy markets.
• Familiarity with ITIL and change management processes.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support business users offering second‑ and third‑line support.
• Knowledge of scripting language (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
• Manage new system analysis and implementation.
• Provide incident management per ITIL standards.
• Liaison between technology department and business groups to communicate system changes.
• Manage process and trading system documentation in existing template; produce and regularly maintain to a high standard.
• Ensure active tasks retain focus through workflow and prioritisation awareness.
• Manage vendor system upgrades and implementation.
• Manage technical client onboarding.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Complete exchange reporting and compliance audits.
