Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a qualified social worker to support customers and colleagues. The role is based in the Coventry office with regular travel and a 37.5-hour week from Monday to Friday. You will assess customers, provide tailored support, and collaborate with local authorities as needed.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, applying your social work skills to a new industry and building trust with colleagues to deliver positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualifying social work experience (ASYE required).
• Practice Educator qualification highly desired.
• Experience in adult social care and mental health settings preferred.
• Driver with access to a car and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop support plans, refer to local authorities.
• Assess needs, consider ability to pay, and recommend actions.
• Signpost to relevant support packages and resources.
• Conduct follow-ups to ensure cases reach resolution.
• Collaborate with other agencies and make referrals as needed.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
